FAQ

Here are some commonly asked questions. If you have more, simply email me and I will answer you.

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is simply physical relaxation coupled with Beta conscious activity. When these two occur hypnosis automatically happens.
During Hypnosis, the body and conscious mind are in a relaxed natural state while the subconscious mind remains awake and receptive to suggestion. Hypnosis is an education-communication process to a person’s mind that allows his/her conscious and subconscious minds to believe the same message.
During Hypnosis, you will be aware of your surroundings, but they simply won’t matter very much.

Can Any Person Be Hypnotized?

People of average intelligence (unless there is some sort of organic brain damage) can be hypnotized in most cases. The depth of hypnosis varies with a person’s ability to respond. If you are not a naturally responsive subject, you can Improve your receptivity to hypnosis with practice.

Why use Hypnosis?

Our conscious mind controls approximately 5-10% (varies from study to study) of our mind. The rest of our mind is controlled by the subconscious mind.

Hypnosis allows the conscious mind to rest, allowing more direct access to the subconscious mind. This creates an ideal setting to implement change by various means – often utilizing positive suggestions you want to see happen in your life.

How does Hypnosis work?

For behavior modification hypnosis simply allows the conscious mind and the subconscious mind to AGREE.

Why is access to the subconscious mind so important?

The subconscious mind houses our belief systems, our values, and the underlying reasons for our behaviors, emotions, and memories (our roadmap). Most of this was programmed while we were very young because of things that happened or were told to us while we were developing.

Often, when someone is having difficulty in their life, it is because the things that are in their subconscious mind – their roadmap for their life – and the beliefs they have now, are in conflict and keep butting up against each other.

By accessing the subconscious mind, these conflicts can resolve.

Also, the subconscious mind accepts positive suggestions that can change conscious behavior.

How Powerful Is A Hypnotist?

Hypnosis is a consent situation in which 10 percent of the effort is the hypnotist’s, and 90 percent is the responsibility of the client.

Is hypnosis medically approved?
